Ingredients :

For Cabbage balls:

 Cabbage - 2 cup, finely chopped

 Cornflour - 3 tbsp

 Maida - 3 tbsp

 Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp

 Garam masala - 1/2 tsp

 Green chilly - 1, chopped

 Red chilly powder - 1 tsp

 Salt - to taste


For Gravy:

 Cornflour - 1 tbsp

 Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp

 Garlic - 1 tbsp, chopped

 Onion - 1 chopped

 Green chilly - 1, chopped

 Capsicum - 1/2, chopped

 Spring onion - as required

 Green chilly sauce  - 1 tsp

 Red chilly sauce - 2 tbsp

 Tomato sauce - 1 tsp

 Soya sauce - 1 tsp

 Water - 1/2 cup + 3 tbsp

 Refined oil - 2 tbsp

 Salt - to taste

 

Instructions :

1. Mix all the ingredients for “cabbage balls ” to a smooth dough. Add more cornflour and maida if needed.

2. Make medium size balls.

3. In a hot pan, add oil. When hot, add the cabbage balls. Flip occasionally and fry until brown, at a low or medium heat to get a crispy crust and soft inside.

4. In a pan add oil. When hot, add green chillies, garlic and onion. Saute well.

5. Add capsicum. Mix well.

6. Add the sauces and mix thoroughly.

7. Add pepper and spring onion. Cook for a minute.

8. Add half cup of water.

9. Add salt to taste.

10. Mix the 1 tbsp cornflour in 2-3 tbsp of water. Add this mixture to the gravy.

11. Add the fried cabbage balls.

12. Stir well and cook for few minutes in high flame.

13. Cabbage manchurian is ready.
