Ingredients :

 Chicken - 2 leg piece

 Butter - 1 tsp

For marination 1:

 Ginger paste - 3/4 tsp

 Garlic paste - 3/4 tsp

 Red chilly powder - 1 1/2 tsp

 Lemon juice - 2 tbsp

For marination 2:

 Curd - 3 tsp

Red chilly powder - 1 tsp

 Coriander powder - 1 tsp

 Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

 Garam masala - 1 tsp

Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp

 Chaat masala - 1 tsp

Kasoori methi - 1 tsp (optional)

 Salt - to taste

Instructions :

1. Step 1: Make shallow knife cuts on the chicken pieces so that the marination will get into the pieces well. Mix the ingredients for “marination 1” into a paste. Pour this over the chicken pieces and marinate well.

2. Step 2: Cover the marinated chicken bowl with a plastic wrap and keep it in the fridge for half an hour.

3. Step 3: mix all the ingredients for “marination 2” to a smooth paste. Add the chicken and cover the masala evenly over it.

4. Step 4: Cover the marinated chicken bowl with a plastic wrap and keep it in the fridge for 1-3 hours.

5. Step 5: On a hot frying pan, add butter. When it melts, cover with a lid and fry the marinated chicken pieces. Flip occasionally.

6. Step 6: In a small katori, place hot charcoal in it. To give a smoky flavor, place this on the frying pan and drizzle some butter or ghee. Straight away cover the frying pan with a lid and rest for 3-5 minutes until the smoke infuses to the tandoori chicken. Again fry the chicken pieces by flipping both sides occasionally until cooked.

7. Tandoori chicken is ready. Serve hot !!!
