EASY MINI DONUTS

Ingredients :

For dough:

 Maida - 1 1/2 cup

 Yogurt - 125 ml

 Baking soda - 3/4 tsp

 Refined oil - for deep fry

 

For Chocolate dip:

 Milk chocolate - 10grams

 Milk - few table spoons

 Sprinkles or grated chocolate - for garnish

 

 

 

Instructions :

 

1. MAKE DOUGH: Sift maida and baking soda into a bowl. Add yogurt little by little and mix gently. Keep adding yogurt until you get a soft dough. Knead thoroughly to get a soft dough.

2. Grease a plastic wrap with oil. Cover the dough ball with it. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.

3. After proofing, dust flour on the rolling board and roll the dough flat to half inch thick.

4. Using a small donut cutter or any circle edged mould and cut the dough to circles. Using smaller circle edged cutter, make small holes at the centre.

 

5. Fry the donuts: deep fry the donuts until golden brown. You can see that the donuts bubbles and floats to top. 

Dip on chocolate and sprinkle sugar decorates on top.

 

6. To make chocolate dip: using double boil method, melt chocolate and milk. Chocolate dip is ready.

 

7. To make sugar glaze: Mix together powdered sugar, milk and few drops of vanilla essence to a syrup like consistency.


NOTES AND TIPS:

 

+ You will be able to make only small size donuts for this foolproof recipe.

+ Since no sugar is added to the donut dough, using chocolate dip might only give you moderate sweetness. If you want it to be super sweet, mix the fried donuts with sugar glaze.
